Catterick Depot Battalion 1940

Back home, before demob 1946.

'A' Section, taken whilst in camp at Singapore. Officers from left to right Capt. Bristow, Major Vickers ( then C.O.), 2/Lt Hancock. I am on the back row at the far right.

This is a list of names by row that was supplied by another member of  'A' Section, Royal Signals, Una Padan, Singapore, April 1941. To enlarge use the zoom function on your browser.

This is a newspaper print of what is believed to be the 11th Indian Division arriving in Singapore. Men and a pile of kit and rifles getting ready to disembark.

I have included some pictures here of the places (and the conditions) that Prisoners of War held by the Japanese were made to live and work.

This picture of a coal mine is believed to be one that I worked in.
